The rhythm of Dakar’s bustling markets, the intricate and colorful patterns of Senegalese textiles, and the echoes of ancestral symbols pulse through my work. As a Senegalese artist, I explore identity, memory, and belonging by merging tradition with innovation. Blending African motifs with contemporary techniques like 3D printing, I examine how art preserves cultural identity in the face of postcolonial shifts. While living in America, I carry my heritage with me and find possibilities to reconnect with my homeland. My practice is deeply rooted in the resilience and communal spirit of Senegalese people. Remembering moments in daily life, I create oil paintings and experimental 3D-printed sculptures that bridge the past and present. I juxtapose African traditionalism with modernity, reimagining cultural narratives in a globalized world. By merging ancient aesthetics with cutting-edge processes, I not only honor my heritage but also reshape its future
